Editorial Guidelines

Our editorial mission

Every piece of content on ProHireHQ.com is written to help one of three groups: employers and healthcare operators trying to solve a staffing problem, staffing agencies looking for a competitive advantage, or candidates looking for work in senior care or golf and 55+ communities.

We do not publish content to rank for keywords we cannot back up. We do not publish claims we cannot source. If we get something wrong, we correct it and note the correction.

Who creates our content

Content on ProHireHQ.com is created and reviewed by the team at Build Don't Beg, led by James Pemberton, founder and CEO. James has direct experience building AI-powered hiring and operations systems for small businesses and has worked closely with senior care operators and hospitality businesses.

When we cite industry data, we link to the original source. When we quote statistics, we name the study, the organization, and the year. We do not use round numbers without a basis.

How we use AI in content creation

ProHireHQ uses AI tools to assist in content drafting and research. However:

  • All content is reviewed by a human editor before publishing
  • AI-generated drafts are rewritten to reflect real expertise and the James Pemberton voice — not published verbatim
  • No AI-generated statistic is published without verification against a primary source
  • We disclose when AI tools have substantially contributed to a piece of content

Our sourcing standards

We prioritize primary sources:

  • Industry reports from named organizations: Activated Insights, PHI, Home Care Association of America, AxisCare, Home Health Care News
  • Peer-reviewed research and government data where available (CMS, BLS, KFF)
  • Direct interviews and first-hand accounts from operators in our target industries

We do not use unnamed sources, unverifiable claims, or statistics cited as "studies show" without naming the study. When we cannot verify a claim, we do not publish it.

How we handle AI transparency in hiring content

ProHireHQ publishes content about AI in hiring. We are aware that this is a rapidly evolving area with real regulatory considerations — including the EU AI Act, New York City Local Law 144, and ongoing FCRA scrutiny of AI scoring tools.

Our content reflects our commitment to:

  • Accuracy about what AI can and cannot do in hiring contexts
  • Transparency about how ProHireHQ's own AI agents operate
  • Fair representation of the legal landscape, including risks and obligations for employers using AI tools
  • Not publishing content that overstates AI capabilities or understates the need for human oversight in final hiring decisions

Content update policy

We review all service pages and industry-data-reliant content at least every six months. When industry statistics change materially, we update the relevant pages and note the update date. Blog posts and guides display a 'last updated' date that reflects substantive revisions, not minor formatting changes.

If you find an error in our content — factual, statistical, or otherwise — please contact us at james@builddontbeg.com and we will review and correct it within five business days.

Corrections policy

When we correct a factual error in published content, we:

  1. Add a correction note at the top of the relevant page identifying what was changed and when
  2. Update the 'last updated' date on the page
  3. Do not quietly delete or rewrite content without acknowledgment if the original version was substantively incorrect

Advertising and sponsorship

ProHireHQ.com does not currently carry advertising or sponsored content. If that changes, sponsored content will be clearly labeled as such and will not influence editorial positions or recommendations.
